Italy makes for a splendid introduction to Europe, because traveling within
one country allows for such differences in culture, dialect, food, architecture
and history. From Rome's hot Mediterranean palm tree climate to Milan's more
temperate coolness, Italy is a mosaic, with different tiles that make up the
unique character of a country only recently unified, with each region maintaining
its own defined personality. |
